Size is the biggest single driver. These are starting ranges for a standard-difficulty piece.
Detail level and style both add to the size base. Stack them to estimate your piece.
Detail level
2–3 colours, big bold shapes, minimal shading
Full colour palette, normal detail, clean edges
Fine lines, gradients, portraits, tight lettering
Style
Example: a Large (5–8ft) room rug at Standard detail runs roughly $220–$320. Push it to Intricate and Portrait style and you're near the top of the range.
